Minister for Cooperation K. Raju inaugurated two mini-power pumps projects at a cost of Rs. 6 lakh in Azhawarpuram on Saturday. The pumps with sintex tanks have been put up in Jegajeevanram Street and Kattilkara Street. Mayor V.V. Rajan Chellappa said that such projects would be implemented in all wards to provide water to the areas where drinking water supply was not adequate. Corporation Commissioner R. Nanthagopal, Assistant Commissioner Devadoss, zonal chairperson K. Jeyavel were present.
