Placement day celebrations

The Training and Placement Cell of Sethu Institute of Technology organised placement day celebrations to honour the recruiters as well as the students who have been placed through the campus interviews organised by the college, on its campus at Kariapatti on Monday.

Speaking at the event, the chief guest, Pattabhiraman Krishnaswamy, Head, Accreditation Process for South India, Tata Consultancy, emphasised the personal growth and the contribution of the individual to society and asked the students not to limit their learning to text books.

Principal A. Senthil Kumar said 597 students from the college had been recruited and had received offer letters from 70 companies, which included Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Infosys, SRM Infotech, Cogzidal, Airtel, Tata Docomo and TVS Infotech.

He said the college had achieved a placement record of 95 per cent till date.

Chairman S. Mohamed Jaleel spoke.

The students who had been placed were formally handed over their appointment letters from the recruiters.
