The Madurai District Court ordered notice to actor Rajinikanth, director K.S. Ravikumar and producer Rockline Venkatesh in a fresh case filed by K.R. Ravi Rathinam, an aspiring filmmaker from the city, who alleged that the story of the movie ‘Lingaa,’ was stolen from a film of his.

Mr. Ravi Rathinam had earlier filed a writ petition in the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court, stating that the story of ‘Lingaa’ was stolen from his film, ‘Mullaivanam 999,’ which had been uploaded in YouTube.

HC dismissed petition

The High Court dismissed the petition and directed him to approach the civil court within four weeks.

The case was posted to March 16.
