SALEM, TAMIL NADU, 23/07/2018: With the Stanley Reservoir at Mettur in Salem district in Tamil Nadu achieving the full reservoir level (FRL) on Monday (July 23, 2018) after a gap of five years, the Public Works Department (PWD) stepped up the discharge for the Cauvery basin on Monday. The water level at Mettur dam on Sunday stood at 116.03 feet against its full level of 120 feet. The inflow was 3,972 cusecs and the discharge 999 cusecs.
