A 40-year-old hairdresser employed in a salon at Yanaikkal was stabbed by a dismissed employee on Friday morning.
The injured hairdresser, M. Ramalingam, has been admitted to the Government Rajaji Hospital.
The Vilakkuthoon police arrested C. Charlie (26) of Tiruppuvanam in this connection. The police said that Charlie, who was working in the salon, was dismissed by the employer some three years back. Subsequently, Ramalingam got the job there. Charlie thought that Ramalingam was blocking his chances of getting back the job, and attempted to kill him.
