Madurai police display 102 abandoned vehicles

The Madurai city police on Saturday kept on display 102 abandoned vehicles at the Armed Reserve Police grounds here.

Around 150 persons who had lost their vehicles in Madurai city visited the venue to identify their two-wheelers.

At the programme, the police were able to help a owner trace his Hero Honda bike that was abandoned in Subramaniapuram.

Following verification of the bike’s documents, the bike would be handed over to the owner by the court, said V. Malaichamy, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime - Town).

“We have also obtained the particulars of various vehicles from the visitors, who have lost them. In case, we get any information about their bikes, we will call them,” the Assistant Commissioner of Police added.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Samanth Rohan Rajendra and V. Malaichamy, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime - Town) were also present.
