Jayalalithaa changes tune after erosion of minority support, says CPI(M)

CPI(M) State secretary G. Ramakrishnan alleged on Wednesday that Chief Minister Jayalalithaa was forced to talk about formation of a non-Congress, non-BJP government after sensing a clear erosion of the minority support.

“Almost 40 days have passed since she launched her campaign for the Lok Sabha elections. All these days, she never criticised the BJP or its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. She now targets the BJP because she has realised that she will not get minority votes,” he told reporters in Madurai.

The case in point was the announcement of a Muslim outfit to withdraw its support to the AIADMK, he said.
