Former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, who is popular among youths, shared a piece of interesting information with school and college students here on Saturday. “I have met 19.5 million youths in the past decade. If you have good ideas on any issue for country’s progress send an e-mail to me atapj@abdulkalam.comand I will get back to you. My advice to you is don’t go near people who discourage and say it is not possible when you tell them your ideas and goals,” he said.

Mr. Kalam was addressing students at Nadar Mahajana Sangam S. Vellaichamy Nadar College at Nagamalai Pudukottai here after distributing welfare assistance to beneficiaries on behalf of NCC unit’s voluntary organisation, ‘Virutcham,’ which has been helping physically challenged and socially backward students for the past nine years.

He told the students to get inspired by the success stories of great personalities such as Thomas Alva Edison, Wright Brothers, Graham Bell, Madam Curie and Sir C. V. Raman. “When a student passes out of an institution, he should get two certificates. One is course completion certificate and the other skill training certificate,” Mr. Kalam opined.
