Former Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) Minister K.K.S.S.R.Ramachandran has moved the Madras High Court bench here to transfer the investigation in a case against him to the Crime Branch of Criminal Investigation Department (CB-CID).
In his petition, Mr.Ramachandran also pleaded for directions to the police to take action against Gose who filed “false” complaints against him alleging that he had paid Rs.32 lakh to the ex-minister to contest in the 2011 elections. Mr.Gose published an article in a Tamil weekly, threatening to immolate himself in Chennai on June 3, 2013, the petition claimed.
According to Mr Ramachandran, the complaint registered by Mr.Gose with the Virudhunagar police under Sections 147, 365, 324 and 506 (i) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3 (1) of the SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act was false. Mr.Ramachandran said he and two of his family members had obtained bail in the case from a Virudhunagar court.

“Mr.Gose registered the false complaint. He has gone to the extent of threatening self-immolation. It is an offence”, said advocate Veera Kathiravan, in the affidavit filed on behalf of Mr.Ramachandran.
“It is the duty of the police to take action against Mr.Gose for blackmailing the petitioner, because inaction will lead to ‘any untoward incident’ causing disrepute to the petitioner and his party,” the advocate contended.
The advocate further sought a direction to the police to probe into the false complaints filed against the petitioner.
