Death of driver: case treated as murder

The case of autorickshaw driver K. Ramesh (23) of Inam Maniyachi, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances near Madurai bypass road under Kovilpatti West police limits on February 27, was treated as murder and Kovilpatti West police on Friday converted the case filed under Section 174 of Cr.P.C., into Section -302 (murder) of IPC. T. Karuthapandi (55), father of the deceased, lodged a complaint following his death. Investigations revealed that Ramesh might have been murdered. Three persons surrendered before the Village Administrative Officer of Manthithope, Sankareswari, on Friday.
