Cricket coaching camp to be held

For U-14 and U-16 boys from April 22

The Tirunelveli District Cricket Association has planned to conduct the selection of Under-14 and Under-16 cricketers at India Cements Grounds in Sankar Nagar near here on Saturday (April 22) for the 23-day cricket coaching camp to be held at the same venue.

An official statement said cricket coaching camp for U-14 and U-16 boys would be conducted at India Cements Grounds at Sankar Nagar from April 22 to May 15 on behalf of Tirunelveli District Cricket Association.

Uniform

Those who want to participate in the coaching camp should come to the India Cements Grounds at 3 p.m. on Saturday in ‘cricket uniform’ (white ‘T’ shirt, white pants and white canvas shoes) and showcase their skills in the selection.

Candidates selected in the selection to be conducted on April 22 will be allowed to attend the camp, wherein T. Devendrakumar of Tamil Nadu Cricket Association will coach the successful players.

For the U-14 category, the boys should have been born after September 2, 2003 and for the U-16 category, the cut-off date is September 2, 2001.
