Satish (19), son of Veerumandi of Keelapacheri near Chekkanoorani, was found dead in a private sugarcane farm with cut injuries. Police said that Satish went missing since Sunday evening.
After the parents could not trace him, they informed Chekkanoorani police. Finally, the team spotted the body in the farm and he was identified to be Satish. Preliminary inquiries suggested that the boy may have come in contact with live electric wire which was lying on the field. The body was sent to the Government Hospital in Usilampatti.
