Plan to woo women voters and tell them to "think independently" while voting

Even as the alliance and seat-sharing talks are yet to be finalised, the Bharatiya Janata Party Mahila Morcha has prepared a ‘reach the kitchen’ plan to woo women voters and tell them to “think independently” while casting their vote.

“We will go to the kitchen, give flowers to women and tell them about their right to vote. They will be asked to think about the rising prices of essential commodities, LPG cylinders and absence of basic amenities,” S.Tamilarasi Yogam, State president of BJP Mahila Morcha, told “The Hindu” on Tuesday.

A.R.Mahalakshmi, BJP Mahila Morcha State vice-president, has said that a meeting was already convened in Erode recently in this regard and the participation of women was good. The ‘reach the kitchen’ drive will be undertaken in Madurai urban, Virudhunagar, Theni, Dindigul and Madurai rural areas.
