Advance bail denied to branch manager

The Madras High Court Bench here on Wednesday denied advance bail to the branch manager of a chain of mobile phone stores in a case registered against him by Tirunelveli City police on the charge of misappropriating phones and accessories worth Rs. 5 lakh between August 24 and October 29 last year.

Justice P.N. Prakash dismissed his second advance bail application after the complainant, the area manager of the firm who got impleaded as an intervener, said it took two months for the misappropriation to come to light due to huge turnover during the Deepavali season only after which the accounts could be reconciled.
