Three youths were killed when their two-wheeler reportedly collided head on with a private bus coming on the opposite direction near Melur-Alagarkoil stretch on Monday.
Madurai Rural Police said that A. Ramu (20) of Kidaripatti, L. Pandikumar (21) of Arittapatti and J. Kandasami (19) of Patcheri Sivaganga district were riding on a two-wheeler. When they were returning home from Melur to Alagarkoil after attending a wedding, the accident occurred near Surakundu bridge.
The bus was said to be coming on the opposite direction. Preliminary inquiries revealed that they did not wear helmet. On information, ambulance rushed to the spot.

However, all the three youth were declared dead. The police have registered a case. Further investigation is on.
