District Collector M. Jayaraman handed over Rs. 58.29-lakh farm equipment, including subsidy of Rs. 12.15 lakh, to the beneficiaries during the farmers' grievance day meeting held at the Collectorate on Friday.
In order to mechanise agriculture, the government has allotted Rs. 29.45 lakh (as subsidy) to the district to distribute 66 machinery under Agricultural Mechanization Programme (macro management mode) during the current fiscal and Rs. 58.77 lakh for the distribution of 131 farm equipment.
