Family pensioners also included for reimbursement

The Tamil Nadu Government on Thursday extended the Pensioners Health welfare Finance Scheme to family pensioners.

Till now, medical expenses incurred by pensioners were being reimbursed. Now family pensioners would also be included, an official press release said.

Family pensioners willing to enrol under the scheme should intimate the respective treasury or sub treasury before December 31, with details of- from which treasury they were drawing the pension, as also the Pension number and bank account number, it said.

The government would deduct Rs.75 from their pension for the scheme, it said.
