BSNL officials take out rally to popularise schemes

BSNL employees taking out a rally in Thoothukudi on Thursday.

To popularise the schemes of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, the executive and non-executive employees of the public sector enterprise took out a procession here on Thursday as part of its ‘Service with a smile’ campaign.

Carrying placards explaining the popular schemes of BSNL, over 200 employees participated in the procession, which was flagged off by K. Saju George, General Manager, BSNL’s Thoothukudi Telecom District, at his office. After traversing St. Antony’s Church, Victoria Extension Road, Gin Factory Road and WGC Road, the processionists reached the starting point.

Since the BSNL has come out with a few attractive schemes such as free calls during night to any network landline / mobile, round-the-clock free calling to all network landline / mobile on Sundays from August 15, free incoming calls on national roaming, high speed mobile data and fibre to home plans with speed up to 100 Mbps etc., the rally was taken-out to popularise these schemes among the public.

The rallyists also distributed pamphlets explaining the schemes to the public.
