The district administration distributed financial assistance to as many as 275 farmers to the tune of Rs. 88 lakh in a special camp organised at Kottaram Government Higher Secondary School in Agastheeswaram taluk on Thursday.
The Government had been implementing various welfare as well as development activities for the benefit of farmers in the district with an objective of uplifting their socio-economic status, said the Collector, S. Nagarajan, after distributing the welfare assistance.
The AGM of NABARD, Shankar, Regional Manager of IOB Padmaragam and other officials attended the camp.
