Minister for Power Aryadan Mohammed will inaugurate the widening and the improvement of the Vyttila- Petta road from Kunnara Park to Petta as part of the Kochi Metro work on Friday at a function to be held near Thykkoodam KSEB sub-station. Benny Behanan, MLA, will preside and V, K. Ebrahim Kunju, Minister for Public Works will disburse the rehabilitation and resettlement package to those affected by land acquisition.
The widening and the rebuilding of the roads are necessary for starting the Metro work on the route. The proposed width of the road is 26 metres.
The reconstructed road will also have new facilities like utility ducts for carrying cables, electrical lines and pipelines
