Two killed in bike accident

Two persons were killed when the bike on which they were travelling hit the median of the road near Nedumbasserry late on Sunday.

The victims have been identified as Sreejith S Kumar 20, of Nedubasserry and Amalraj, 19, of Palathinkal House, near Cheranallore.

According to the police, the bike hit the median at Karakkattukunnu when they suddenly swerved the bike in order to avoid hitting an autorickshaw which entered the highway after taking a U turn from the opposite side.They were later taken to a nearby hospital where both were declared brought dead. The autorickshaw, which was swerved off the road also turned turtle, causing minor injuries to its passengers.
