According to the police, the two parties had a scuffle over bus timing at Thrikkakara on the day before the assault took place.

The accused allegedly misbehaved with women passengers in Basil’s bus who questioned their action.

Following this, the victim along with the women passengers lodged a complaint with the Thrikkakara police based on which a case was registered. This did not go down well with the accused who manhandled him the next day.

A team comprising Anas, Sub Inspector; Asi Sebastian, Assistant Sub Inspector; and Vinod Krishna, senior Civil Police Officer, made the arrest.
