Tug inducted into Navy

Sarthi, a 25-tonne tug, which was inducted into the Navy at the Naval Base in Kochi on Tuesday.

A 25-tonne tug named Sarthi was inducted into the Navy at the Naval Base here on Tuesday.

Tugs provide berthing assistance to ships entering and leaving harbour.

Built by Tebma Shipyard Ltd. at Malpe in Karnataka, Sarthi is capable of generating 25 tonne bollard pull capacity.
