Siraj, the eleventh accused in the Kochi human trafficking case, who was apprehended by immigration officials at the Mumbai airport the other day, is slated to be produced before the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate by Thursday.

According to officials, the CBI had taken him into custody from the Sahar police station in Mumbai on Tuesday and boarded a train to Kochi later in the evening.

Earlier in February, the CBI had filed charge sheet against 13 people including Siraj in the court. According to officials, Siraj was an agent of K V Suresh, the first accused in the case who ran prostitution rackets in Muscat, Sharjah, Dubai and Ajman. The racket was busted after a woman from Thiruvananthapuram was detained with fake passport while attempting to go to the UAE.
