The great autorickshaw race

‘Rickshaw Run’ ,a pan India autorickshaw race conducted by U.K. based company ‘Adventurists’ ended at Fort Kochi on Monday. Around 210 persons from about 20 countries participated in the race.

The race began from Jaisalmer, Rajasthan on January 1, 2013. Curious George and Brogrammers were the two teams to reach the finish line first, which is near the Parade Ground, Fort Kochi. They reached here on January 11. All the 77 teams reached the finish line by Monday. Adventurists is an Adventure Sports Company which conducts races in various countries. “A good amount of money collected from the race will be given to charity,” said Candace Rardon, the in-charge of the media operations. The amount collected is donated to Frank Water India, a charity organization which implements fresh water projects in Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh.
