May 19, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:43 am IST - KOCHI:

In line with the Chief Minister’s mass contact programme and revenue adalats, the first taluk-level revenue survey adalat in Ernakulam district will be held at North Paravur on Tuesday.

About 1,000 applicants are expected to attend the day-long event, the first in a series of adalats planned for all the seven taluks in the district. A team of Revenue officials led by sub collector S. Suhas will deal with the complaints.

In addition, about 78 applications received through the taluk office and 42 applications sent through the village offices will be also considered. A majority of these complaints pertain to title deeds and lapses in re-survey.

Special arrangements have been made for accommodating patients and physically challenged applicants.

A team of student police cadets, taluk officials and Red Cross volunteers will be deployed at the venue to assist the applicants.
