Little Superman , a 3D film directed by Vinayan, will be released on April 14, surmounting all odds, says the director.

Addressing the media here on Wednesday, Vinayan said the film, which had earlier been opposed by the Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, would be exempted from entertainment tax. He said the film had earlier been withdrawn from theatres by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) at the instance of the Chid Rights Protection Commission, which said the film promoted violence by young children.

“However, the fact that it has now overcome all hurdles and got exemption from entertainment tax is a setback for its detractors,” he said, in his trademark style.

Mr. Vinayan said the film featured state-of-the-art graphic picturisation and special effects, which would be liked by children.

Master Deny and Baby Nayanthara appear in lead roles in the film.
