Supplyco sales up 11 per cent

Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation (Supplyco) has recorded 11 per cent rise in its sales turnover during the last financial year.

The turnover rose from Rs.3,415 crore during 2013-14 to Rs.3,792 crore during the last year, said a press release here on Wednesday.

Sale of Maveli brand of items rose to a total of Rs.929 crore during the period under review from the previous year’s level of Rs.897 crore. Sale of Sabari brand of products rose from Rs.126 crore during 2013-14 to Rs.152 crore during the last financial year.

The brand of whole wheat flour from Supplyco rose from Rs.76 crore to Rs.97 crore. Sales turnover at Supplyco’s medical stores rose from Rs.59 crore to Rs.64 crore.

The corporation expected a sales turnover of Rs.4,400 crore during the new financial year, the press release added.
