SFI wins majority of college unions in city

: Students Federation of India (SFI) has claimed victory in 36 colleges in Ernakulam in the elections held in colleges affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University.

Kerala Students Union (KSU) claimed to have won in 13 colleges. SFI said that it could win 58 out of the 75 posts of university union councillors while the KSU bagged 21 seats.

SFI beat KSU in the elections held in city colleges. In the keenly fought election at Maharajas College, SFI won the key posts while the KSU won the vice chairperson and magazine editor posts. SFI won all the seats in Govt. Law College.
