The State School Science Fest being held at six venues in and around Tirur wowed the crowds on the third day of the event on Friday. Hundreds of curious people visited the stalls at major venues and witnessed the competitions in different categories.
When the main venue at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Tirur, drew crowds to the working and still models presented by the higher secondary students in science stream, Devadhar GHSS, Tanur, witnessed keen competitions in mathematical abilities of higher secondary and vocational higher secondary students.
KHM HSS, Alathiyur, saw the work experience skills of high school, higher secondary and vocational higher secondary students bloom. SSM Polytechnic Tirur hosted various competitions in IT for higher secondary students.

A quiz held for the general public at the main venue drew large crowds. C. Mammootty, MLA, gave away prizes to the winners.
Mr. Mammootty will inaugurate a career seminar as part of a Vocational Expo and Career Fest at Government Boys HSS, Tirur, on Saturday morning. T. Vanaja, district panchayat standing committee chairperson, will preside.
A quiz for higher secondary students and a science talent search examination for high school students will be held in the morning at the main venue. A mathematical quiz will also be held for higher secondary and vocational higher secondary at Devadhar GHSS.

In IT mela, there will be digital painting and multimedia presentation on Saturday.
The five-day fair will come to a close on Sunday.
