The beach at Fort Kochi turned a musical carnival on Saturday as fans of Bob Marley got together to sing paeans to the rebel singer on his death anniversary.

The fans chose their own methods to pay homage to the hallowed memory of the singer.

The people of Mattancherry and Fort Kochi come together every year on this day to organise a cultural event as a tribute to the man who introduced reggae music to the world. However, instead of reggae music, the event saw a combination of classic Hindi songs and local favourites.
