Professor collapses in classroom, dies

A professor of English at Maharaja’s College, Lisa Sadasivan, 56, collapsed in the classroom while taking UGC Net class on Wednesday and was declared brought dead at the General Hospital.

She had retired at the end of March this year but had come to the college on Wednesday to complete the portions. Dr. Lisa leaves behind husband G.N. Prasad, retired engineer from the Cochin Shipyard, son Karthik Prasad and daughter Pavana. The professor’s body will be handed over to the relatives on Thursday morning. The body will be kept on the college premises from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. for paying homage before being taken to her residence at Ravipuram.
