A 48-year-old man arrested by the Njarackal police for allegedly molesting a 12-year-old girl in a bus has been remanded in judicial custody. The arrested person is identified as Haneefa, a native of Edavanakkad. He was arrested after the girl’s mother filed a complaint with the police.
According to the police, the incident happened on Monday night when the girl was travelling with her mother in the bus at Vypeen. The accused allegedly groped the girl. Passengers in the bus caught him red-handed and handed him over to the police.
