A day after the police launched a probe into the alleged burial of a three-month-old baby at a compound near Angamaly, a post mortem of the body confirmed that the infant had died of natural causes.
The death came to light the other day when the mother approached the police, alleging that her husband had killed the baby and buried the body. Following this, the body was exhumed. The case for unnatural death was dropped, and the infant’s parents were released from police custody.
