A 14-year-old girl died after she was run over by a private bus at Vyttila on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Anugraha, daughter of Vimal Kumar of North Paravur. Police said the incident took place on Sunday evening at Vyttila junction. Anugraha, who was riding pillion on her father’s two-wheeler, fell on the road after the vehicle hit a road-median while taking a U-turn. Before she could move from the road, a private bus plying on the route ran over her upper body.
Police said the girl died on the spot. Her body was later moved to a private hospital.
