Infosys executive co-chairman Kris Gopalakrishnan urged the youngsters of the State to nourish their entrepreneurial skills and to come up with their own Google and Facebook.

Talking after giving away the best start-ups awards at the Kalamassery-based Start-up Village on Friday, Mr. Gopalakrishnan said the current generation of youngsters has already changed the face of the State.

Stating that anything is possible through hard work, he reminded the young audience that it would be their innovative ideas that will decide the future of the State.

Mr. Gopalakrishnan said the State now had a congenial atmosphere for the growth and development of youngsters while citing the opportunities offered by initiatives like the Start-up Village.

He, however, said there were areas that needed the attention of authorities. Lack of financial backing, technical knowhow, and leadership is affecting development of entrepreneurial ventures.

Of the total 131 start-ups at the Village, 20 were selected as the best.
