Focus on long-term health benefits

The Thrikkakara Municipal Cooperative Hospital, which has stuck to the non-conventional model of healthcare for common people, has focussed on various aspects that will promote the long-term health of the community around which the hospital has grown so far.

About 80% of child births at the Cooperative Hospital is natural, says Board member M.M. Abbas.

The percentage is striking given that the State average is much lower than this.

Organic farming

Community health programmes, efforts and initiatives to create more awareness about environmental care and proper waste treatment are some of the other initiatives of the hospital.

Besides, it has been on the forefront of promoting organic farming as a means to fight off diseases that come with the use of products that have heavy chemical residues.
