KOCHI: The State government-owned Kerala Electrical and Allied Engineering Products (KEL) is organising ELEX 2017, an electrical engineering expo, from December 13 to 15 at the CIAL Trade Fair and Exhibition Centre here.
“Public and private sector companies from across the globe are expected to participate in ELEX 2017,” said KEL chairman Varkala Ravikumar in a press release here. KEL managing director Shaji M. Varghese was present.
The event will be a one-stop-shop for all varieties of electrical and allied products and equipment used for major projects in the country.

“The expo is being organised in 1,100 sq mt space at the CIAL Trade Fair and Exhibition Centre where State government companies like Tracko, Telk, Keltron, KSIDC, and SIFL and multinationals such as Siemens, Hitachi, Crompton Greaves, Finolex Cables, HPL Electric and Power, Kirloskar, and Larsen and Toubro will have stalls. Suzlon Power and RPG are also expected to showcase their latest technologies and products,” said Mr. Ravikumar.
BPCL and Indian Oil have already confirmed their participation.
KEL is focussing on manufacturing advanced technology products for the global market, and ELEX 2017 will provide a platform to manufacturers, suppliers, vendors, and customers to identify the right solutions, he added. The expo will also see the participation of manufacturers of LED and machinery for making transformers and solar panels.
