‘End practice of entrusting cases with Delhi lawyers'

Kerala government should reconsider the practice of entrusting its cases with lawyers from New Delhi as it reduces the opportunities for lawyers from Kerala, said K.C. Venugopal, Union Minister of State for Power.

Mr. Venugopal was speaking at the enrolment ceremony of law graduates here on Sunday.

The conviction that lawyers could ensure the delivery of justice to the common man should guide the young lawyers, the Minister said.

Kerala Bar Council chairman C. Sreedharan Nair administered the oath to the law graduates.

374 take oath

The function witnessed 374 persons enrolling as lawyers.

K.N. Anilkumar welcomed the gathering and C.T. Sabu proposed a vote of thanks.

Hibi Eden, MLA, and former Minister Kadannappally Ramachandran were among those who witnessed the enrolment ceremony.
