The Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat) improved its position among the universities in the ranking by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) of the Ministry of Human Resource Development from 86 in 2017 to 69 this year.
The ministry, which released the rankings on Tuesday, prepares the list on the basis of teaching, learning and resources, research and professional practices, graduation outcomes, outreach and inclusivity, and perception. However, Cusat stood behind Kerala University (30) and Mahatma Gandhi university (34) in 2018.
