Coast Guard gets FPV

Cochin Shipyard Ltd. (CSL), on Friday, delivered ICGS Amogh, part of a batch of 20 fast patrol vessel (FPVs) it is building, for the Coast Guard. The delivery coincided with the visit of Union Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari to the CSL campus at Thevara. The protocol of delivery was signed between R.S. Sundar, Director of Operations, CSL, and Commanding Officer-designate of the vessel Commandant (JG) Avtar Singh. On commissioning, the vessel will operate from the Coast Guard station at Karaikal. — Special Correspondent
