Chandy asks Pillai to behave

A day after the ruling UDF was forced to condone the anti-coalition utterances of Balakrishna Pillai, leader of its constituent Kerala Congress (B), Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has caustically remarked that Mr. Pillai is at liberty to decide whether or not to stay in the coalition.

“But he should watch his words and maintain manners if he chooses to remain part of the coalition. All partners in the front expressed their displeasure at the stance taken by him. And he was criticised at the UDF meeting on Wednesday,” Mr. Chandy told the media here on Thursday.
