Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan is the new brand ambassador of Kalyan Jewellers, the jewellery retail chain. Mr. Bachchan will endorse Kalyan Jewellers’ range of products.
T.S. Kalyanaraman, Managing Director, Kalyan Jewellers, said that signing on Mr. Bachchan was a strong step towards the evolution of the Kalyan brand.
A press release issued by the jewellers quoted Amitabh Bachchan as saying that “throughout my career I have been very selective about aligning myself with brands. Kalyan Jewellers are an iconic jewellery brand with a great heritage and strong presence in South India. I am overwhelmed to partner with them and represent the brand across India.”

The group has 35 stores spread over the four southern States with an annual turnover of Rs.9473 crore. The group is entering new markets of Maharashtra and Gujarat during the current year. By 2014 end, the group expected to open 100 stores across the world, the release said.
