2 held on assault charge

The Mulanthuruthy police on Saturday arrested two persons on the charge of assaulting a 23-year-old near here three days ago.

The arrested were identified as Joji, 19, and Appu, 24, both local residents. The duo had picked an argument with another youth, Cyril, and had allegdly attacked him using a metal object.

The victim is at present undergoing treatment in a hospital. A search is on to trace the third person involved in the attack, the police said.
