A woman killed her three children by strangulating them and later tried to end her life following some domestic problem at Balanagar in Shadnagar of Mahbubnagar district on Monday night.
The woman, Kausalya (28), earned out a living by seeking alms and stayed along with her husband Bhikshapathi and children Chinamma (5), Kumar (3) and Rani (1).
On Monday evening Kausalya and her in-laws entered into a fight over some family issues. Later the woman and her children went to their room to sleep. “The woman probably woke up during the night and strangulated her children Chinamma, Kumar and Rani with a saree resulting in their death,” Inspector Shadnagar, B. Gangadhar said. Her husband along with a relative were in Hyderabad on some work.

On Tuesday morning she was heading to a water tank on village outskirts to end her life when locals caught her and enquired about the issue. On coming to know about the murder they brought her back to her house and saw the children dead.
