A week after suffering critical injuries in a wall collapse tragedy, Majid succumbed at Osmania General Hospital here on Sunday, taking the death toll to five. Doctors said he had suffered multiple fractures and respiratory failure. He was put on mechanical ventilator support during treatment.
On November 10, four people were killed during a marriage ceremony at Pearl Garden Function Hall while waiting near the parking area after lunch. Police said the foundation of the wall was so poor that it could not take the weight of recent renovations and resulted in the tragedy.
