A young woman and her 14-month-old daughter were run over by an express train while crossing the tracks under Lalapet flyover here on Friday.
The accident occurred around 6 p.m. when the victim Reshma (19), along with her daughter Afreen and 20 others was crossing the tracks reportedly to attend TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao’s roadshow at Shantinagar in Lalapet, Secunderabad Government Railway Police said.
She is a resident of Manikeshwari Nagar.

“KTR’s meeting was on the other side of the tracks and they were hit by Godavari Express,” the officer said.
While death was instant for Reshma, her daughter was declared brought dead by doctors of a private hospital in the area.
