Two arrested in PBEL City electrocution case

The Narsingi police on Tuesday arrested a lift mechanic and a housekeeping staffer after they were held responsible for the death of a six-year-old boy in PBEL City residential society.

The arrested persons were identified as Sai Kumar Goud (25) and Madhav (25), both working for Golden Star Facilities and Services Pvt. Ltd. and residents of Moinabad.

On February 11, Monish, a Class I student was electrocuted while playing at his housing society after he came in contact with a lamp post, whose wires were tampered by the accused while setting up floodlights for Sankranti festival, police said. Soon the boy was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead by the doctors.

Later, the victim’s parents took the body to Chennai for performing final rites. When Narsingi police came to known about the incident, they contacted Monish’s parents and with the help of local police autopsy was performed at a government hospital in Chennai.
