A television actress who came to Hussainsagar reportedly to end her life was rescued by the Lake Police on Saturday.
The 28-year-old Harpreet Kaur alias Roopa, who has acted in a few television serials, was spotted weeping by a Lake Police team at Necklace road. The cops took her to the Lake police station.
The woman told the police that she was in a live-in relationship with her relative Keval Singh who worked with a bank. “Roopa told us that Keval asked her to stop working in serials and promised to marry her. However, Keval backed out later,” Inspector Lake Police K. Sreedevi said.

The police later called the family members and sent them to Petbasheerabad police station after counselling.
