Commissioner of Civil Supplies C. Parthasarathi on Tuesday told officials to ensure that no eligible beneficiary was left out and that 6 kg of rice per member on each Food Security Card (FSC) was given quota so that the Food Security Act could be implemented across Telangana by the end of this month itself.

At a review meeting with the Chief Rationing Officer, District Resource Persons and other officials, he said seeding in the State was about 95 per cent, but that the seeding with the FSC database ranged between 57 and 75 per cent in the districts, with a State average of 66 per cent. He wanted all enquiries to be completed soon so that all the beneficiaries got the rice on their FSCs.

Mr. Parthasarathi wanted all preparations for issue of FSCs to be completed and important fields to be uploaded in the database by January-end so that the cards could be generated from February onwards.

He reiterated that no eligible beneficiary should be left out on the pretext that Aadhaar number was not provided.

In such cases, he said temporary approval for release of quota could be given and that the individuals may be asked to provide it later.
